How Kopti works

Turn everyday ownership details into useful memory.

Kopti is built for the small facts that disappear between one repair and the next. Capture what happened in ordinary language, review the structured draft, and decide exactly what becomes part of an item's memory.

Start with the information you already have.

You do not need to fill in a long form before recording a maintenance detail. Tell Kopti what happened in a text or voice note, or attach the receipt, photo, or PDF that contains the useful facts.

Cloud AI processing is permission-based. When it is enabled, Kopti sends the selected capture through its private AI gateway to prepare a structured candidate. Voice notes are transcribed first, and only the transcript is offered for cloud processing.

  • Describe a completed job, purchase, replacement, inspection, or renewal.
  • Name the item if you know it, or let the draft propose a new item.
  • Include a future date or interval when you want a reminder.

Review the proposed change, not a black box.

Kopti presents a candidate before saving. The review shows the matched or proposed item, each history event, reminder details, and document metadata separately.

You can correct the item, title, date, part, cost, provider, warranty detail, or reminder before approval. If a draft is incomplete or contradictory, Kopti surfaces the issue instead of silently turning it into permanent memory.

  • Check which existing item will receive the update.
  • Edit dates, names, costs, and recurrence details.
  • Discard the draft when the capture should not be saved.

Save confirmed facts to the item they belong to.

Approved information becomes structured item history. A coffee machine can hold descaling events and filter changes; a bike can hold shop services, installed parts, and costs; an air purifier can hold its purchase and warranty details.

When you keep an original receipt or document as proof, the iPhone app stores that file locally on the device. Kopti's backend stores document metadata, not the original attachment bytes.

Bring the context back when it matters.

A reminder is more useful when it carries the item's history with it. Due Soon can show which filter needs changing, when it was last changed, and which model or receipt was saved instead of presenting a vague calendar line.

Completing recurring care records the work in history and can offer the next reminder from the actual completion date. Search also brings together items, events, reminders, and document details when you need to reconstruct what happened.

Kopti helps you remember; it does not replace expert judgment.

Kopti is an organization and memory tool. AI drafts can be incomplete, notifications can be missed, and a saved warranty date does not guarantee that a claim will be accepted.

Use the manufacturer's schedule, a qualified professional, the original warranty terms, and the relevant authority for safety-critical work or hard deadlines.

The useful part is the trail of confirmed facts—not pretending the app can make the decision for you.
